Cigar enthusiasts in Asia have long faced a persistent pain point: there is no Chinese-language cigar knowledge system of our own.
While Western enthusiasts can open Cigar Aficionado, Halfwheel, or Cigar Coop and read in-depth brand histories, ratings, tobacco leaf research, and world-class cultivation of cigar culture, Chinese-speaking cigar enthusiasts can only:
- Translate fragmented English materials
- Read incomplete Chinese wiki entries
- Listen to word-of-mouth accounts from different shops, each saying something different
- Rely on scattered Instagram and YouTube content
This is a tremendous loss for the development of cigar culture in Asia.
As the proprietor of W Cigar Bar Gentlemen's Cigar Lounge in Taipei Da'an District, with Cuban cigars from four official channels (PCC authorized dealer, Cuban official state-run store, Swiss general distributor, Spanish general distributor), and the general distributor for LUBINSKI Italian accessories, I, Cigar Prince Wilson Tsai, decided to personally write and plan this "Asia's First Chinese-Language Cigar Bible".
The Standard of the Cigar Bible
This Bible follows 4 writing principles, which I call "Four-Level Depth":
